Northpoint Disability provides flexible Core Supports focused on independence, confidence, and everyday wellbeing. From daily living assistance to community participation, our support is tailored to your goals, lifestyle, and personal needs.
Short/Medium Term Disability Accommodation
Our Short Term Accommodation (STA) and Medium Term Disability Accommodation (MTA) provide a safe, welcoming place to stay with 24/7 personalised support tailored to each participant’s needs, routines, and goals.
STA and MTA are often funded through shared support arrangements, giving participants opportunities to socialise and enjoy activities with others. For those requiring additional assistance, we also have immediate capacity for 1:1 STA and MTA support, providing dedicated care in a comfortable, home-like environment.
Whether you need a short break, support following a hospital stay, or temporary accommodation while transitioning to a longer-term home, our focus is on comfort, independence, wellbeing, and continuity of care.
Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA)
MTA provides funding for temporary accommodation while you wait for your permanent housing solution, such as Supported Independent Living (SIL) or Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), to become available. It helps ensure you have a safe and supported place to stay during the transition.
- Funded through your Core Supports budget
- Typically available for up to 90 days
- Extensions may be possible depending on your circumstances
- MTA gives you the comfort and stability you need while longer-term supports are being finalised.
Short-Term Accommodation (STA)
Short Term Accommodation (STA), including respite, provides funding for temporary accommodation and the support you need while away from your usual home. Stays can be for up to 14 days at a time and up to 28 days per year, giving you a change of environment while providing your family or carers with a well-earned break.
